Aww. I'm disappointed. Perhaps it will be better in the lightbox. I had to shoot this through a spiderweb or not get a shot.

This poor boy spent the winter with a broken left leg. I would see him struggling and dragging it up the bank to rest. It was so cold. My friend down on the corner fed the flock and so did I, with special attention to this fellow. It set itself and healed - not quite right, but usable. The other males aren't allowing him a mate, so sometimes he will steal a girl for a little while. But then he has to relinquish her or risk a bout of fisticuffs, which gets quite rowdy, even for ducks.
