I have no idea what this fox kit is chewing on, other than it's a bone. It's way too big to belong to a squirrel.

UPDATE: I guess I should start calling her Annabelle the Cannibal. Just found out a friend of mine found one of the kits dead the day before I arrived. The bone we see in this shot is one of the leg bones from the carcass. After doing some quick research, foxes apparently have cannibalistic tendencies. I could wrap my head around it if it was in the middle of a harsh winter and food was scarce, but that simply isn't the case. Not sure what facts surrounded the death of the sibling. If it was a coyote or natural causes or what? If it was a coyote though, then the coyote would be eating it and not the fox. Perhaps this kit is just being opportunistic. This just throws the cuteness factor out the proverbial window.
