Study to show thyself approved unto God a workman...II Timothy 2: 15

I had a an extremely difficult time trying to locate the identity of these wildflowers and I spent hours
hours looking through thousands of on-line wildflowers to identify the correct name. They are known as Virginia Water leaf too but they also grow profusely in several states. The flowers are white to purple with long hair-like stamens. The leaves are divided into toothed leaflets. These wild flowers were growing in our backyard in the tall grass while our lawn mower was in repair. They are also found in ditch banks and woods.

Notice the leaves on this wider view and the fly sitting on a flower. To see a closer view showing where I am holding a bouquet of them after I stripped the leaves off ( revealing the long stems) before putting in a vase you can find the link below in the comment box.

View best in light-box! Thank you!
