Grace and peace be multiplied...... 2 Peter 1: 2

While snow clings on each tree
Mr. Cardinal and Chickadee
Share the bird feeder in peace;
Wear feathers and not fleece
In milder weather of 32 degrees...
© Poetry by me AJP

There had been a lot more snow on the feeder and I cleared it off to give them bird seed but it was filling in again when I shot this picture. It is 32 degrees outside but for us that is mild. The challenge was walking with snow up to my knees in some spots where it had snowed during the night to combine with the snow already on the ground.

I was happy that the cardinal who is a very shy bird allowed me to stand outside the corner of the house within his view to capture this picture without having to shoot through the window. I'll have to admit as much as I complain about winters cold, I love the milder days even after a storm and can appreciate the beauty of snow on the branches and the red of the bright cardinal against the white snow.. I went outside early this morning to shoot some pictures of the aftermath of more snow before it melts off the trees.

Best viewed in light box! Thank you!

Thank you Ann Reece for nominating this photo on 1/26/2017...Very appreciated

    Thank you for your comment, Kevin I am so delighted that I was able to get this shot outside where I think it makes a more vibrant image than trying to shoot through two window panes which sometimes interferes with the focusing. The fact the two birds were sitting close together helped also for them both to be sharp...

    It is interesting that the Cardinal and the Chickadee will share the feeder and being side by side to share the seeds! Excellent capture, Andrea : )
