"Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4: 3 "

The Mourning Dove came back again today to the feeder and here he is preening himself on a branch after he got through eating ....We were gone for awhile this afternoon and when we got back we saw that he had brought a mate with him but they left before I could shoot a picture of them together.

If you stare at this long enough one starts to see a new and strange breed of bird--in the head area

Thanks for the comments! What I mainly noticed James is how the feathers reminded me
of the opening of a flower...and was happy that I caught this on my late mother's birthday
yesterday on the 18th,. Now I see what you mean about the head area...It looks almost like
an elephant bird with a trunk!:) Awesome how nature opens our eyes.

So tranquil and beautiful! I just love this pose of contentment as he preens.. and I see that 'other bird', too. One of those incredible captures, Andrea!
