EFFECT. I TOOK THIS PHOTO JUST AFTER 14-INCHES OF SNOW POUNDED THE NEW HAVEN AREA OF NEW ENGLAND. I TOOK THIS IMAGE AT 2:15 A.M. WHEN THE STORM WAS WINDING DOWN. I MADE THIS IMAGE BECAUSE I WAS THINKING IF ONLY ALL THIS SNOW COULD MELT SO QUICKLY, THAT WOULD BE GREAT. I AM SICK OF THE SNOW. I FEEL LIKE I'M IN BONDAGE
SINCE IT'S SO HARD TO DRIVE ANYWHERE. I TRIED IN POST TO MAKE THIS IMAGE REAL, ALMOST A DREAM LOOK SO-TO-SPEAK. ASIDE FROM POST I LOVE THE BLACKS, WHITES AND MID-TONES. I MUST SAY I DID WORK ON THIS IMAGE FOR A LONG TIME TO REALLY GET THE I TRIED THIS IN COLOR BUT BLACK AND WHITE REALLY WORKS BEST FOR THIS
KIND OF EFFECT. THEY ARE NOW PREDICTING SNOW THIS MONDAY INTO TUESDAY. OH NO, THIS IS TRULY BEEN A NIGHTMARE OF SNOW AND COLD WITH TEMPS DIPPING TO 25 BELOW 0 AND HIGHS 2-3 DEGREES FOR WEEKS. I SAY BRING ON SPRING. I APPRECIATE YOUR VOTES IN ADVANCE. SINCERELY, MICHAEL ASARO

You really did a great job on getting the contrasts sharp on this very creative work and it sure does look like the houses are melting!

I LOVE THIS IMAGE MYSELF. I TOOK A GOOD AMOUNT OF TIME TO GET IT RIGHT. I HOPE YOU ALL LIKE IT AND VOTE THIS FOR PHOTO OF THE WEEK? I'M NOT FORCING ANYONE BUT IT'S A GREAT CONCEPT AS WELL AS BLACK AND WHITE IMAGE WHERE NOWADAYS ALL WE SEE IS COLOR. WE NEED TO DISPLAY BLACKS AND WHITES AND THEIR MID-TONES BECAUSE ANSEL ADAMS WHO WAS MY UNCLE WOULD HAVE LOVED THIS! JUST KIDDING OF COURSE, ANSEL WAS THE BEST! LOVE THE ZONE SYSTEM.....HEY, WE CAN STILL SHOOT FILM IF WE CHOICE TO EVERY NOW AND THEN. IT'S A MATTER OF PREFERENCE AND IF THE IMAGE REALLY SCREAMS OUT TO BE A BLACK AND WHITE. WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK? BE HONEST NOW, THANKS, MIKE A.
