The Baltimore Orioles and other small birds have been getting chased off by the Common Grackles who are carrying away lots of sunflower seeds and go through a suet block daily now in their mission to to feed their growing young.....who should be getting old enough to forage for their selves soon and possibly will be leaving by next month with the adult flock to continue their migratory journey:)

This adult male oriole was peeking around the hummingbird feeder to see if the coast was clear to fly over to the jelly dish on another stand without being harassed by a Grackle ...The wild birds in nature seem to adjust to whatever inconvenience they are faced with and by whatever the circumstances ...I think they realize the Grackles won't be hanging around forever. They do eventually get their turn at the feeder even though the wait is long, they accept it with grace and humility....

Best View in light box! Thank you!!!
