This curving road holds a symbolic connotation to me. My husband and I were on our way driving on the highway to my late mother's 102nd birthday party in July of 2011 when I spotted this man walking in the fog along the curve of the road...It was the last birthday party that we were to celebrate with my mother as she passed away in October of that year. A curve in a road can sometimes represent a real-life turning point or turn of events..

This photo with your narrative gives me chills on my arms. The man and curve as being a symbol of of being free from the restraints of normal life and free to do as you please and go where you want. To see beautiful things and go to beautiful places. Wow. Andrea I love this photo and thank you for sharing it with the story that goes with it.

Thank you all for your kind words...This man as I remember emerged out of the fog like a spirit walking along the curving road ...I think if he had been walking on a straight road on a clear day without the fog it wouldn't have been quite as effective..

Both the man and road together are with a curve at the same time( the man.s curve relation to age and road,s curve relation to human engineering .excellent.
