I shot a series of pictures of an Amish family haying in the field and it was totally unexpected as it was across the track from a horse pull event that my husband and I attended with our neighbors who invited us to ride along with them...It was something that one doesn't see every day and a way of life for the Amish who were working hard on a hot day..It was like witnessing a scene from another era and it was fascinating to watch and to capture!

Best View in Light box! Thank you!!!

Thank you Richard Knight for spotlighting and nominating this picture 7/1/2018! Appreciated.

lighting is quite special here--love the flow of the hay--well balanced--How strong are those horses!

A very nice capture of the Amish harvest! This makes for a great photo-essay, Andrea!

Amazing amount of hay. I wonder if the horses are paired by color on purpose lol.

Thank you all for your comments...I noticed that also Gail .not only are the horses paired by color, but the clothing, hats, shirts and suspenders .co-ordinate...They all looked so clean and neat in spite of the heat index and hard work in the field....Remarkable while the rest of us wilt:)
