This young Red Bellied Woodpecker found out today that suet really tastes good! In his earlier stages of growing up he refused to eat it and preferred sunflower seeds. However, it didn't hurt him as he is growing up to be a strong healthy bird ...It is nice that he can also adjust to suet in his diet now that he is ready for it.

Thank you all for your comments...We had a snow storm today and I felt sorry for the birds
when their sunflowers seeds got iced up and stuck to their bowl..Suet is a good alternative in times like that.
