I placed a white lace tablecloth underneath that I hung over the back of the sofa making it easier to photograph and line up the napkins than the traditional way flat on the table which I also experimented with. I felt the lace on the napkins showed up better in this direction. Also had window lighting from two directions.

    Thank you all for your comments...These vintage linen lace trimmed napkins used to belong to my late mother. .I didn't include the 4th one in beige color as it blended in with the white tablecloth and narrowed it down to the three that had better color. I doubt my mother ever used them very much as they are rather formal for every day use. They really came in handy for this lace challenge and had a lot of fun with it.
