Awhile back I bought a used Art Book at a library book sale entitled "The Age of Rembrandt and Vermeer" by J. M. Nash. The reproduction print on the left is a self portrait of Rembrandt (1606-69) He liked to paint himself in fancy costume. The reproduction print on the right is " A Young Girl Leaning on a Window-Sill" that Rembrandt painted in 1645 . I love Rembrandt lighting and have been enjoying the book ...I think we can learn a lot by studying the works of the master artists.

Thank you Tiia for your comment...I thought it might be interesting to show a few of the
favorite pictures that this book contains but not such an easy project as the shiny pages sometimes picked up glare...

I love the contrasts in patterns and colors in this image. A lovely portrait and an excellent capture of the art book. Very well done, Andrea!
