On the left page is entitled Detail from "Young Patrician Couple" by Bartholomeus Van Der Helst 1613-1670 on the right side Rembrandt 1609-69 Detail from " The Jewish bride."

I have been doing a series of pictures showing some favorite art works from a book that
I bought from a library book sale entitled The Age of Rembrandt and Vermeer by J.M. Nash
which is is about 17th Century Dutch painters ...I think hands in art are interesting. ...The two
pages here show merely the detail of the hands but the artists also painted the entire picture...I have heard it said that hands are the hardest to paint but it is incredible how life like that the hands look from the detail pages in the art book. I placed my hands on the book to prove that observation.

Love the sepia tones here and the way you've presented the photos of hands. Very well captured!!
