The drifts are quite high, and so I have taken taken to accompanying the Scampers outside in the wind and cold. They and the neighbor's dog love to bark and growl at one another.

    Wow! It truly shows winter as of what it is like this year!!!... looks like the snow drifts are deep enough now for the dogs to jump over the fence :-) This morning our front step was glare ice from the two day rain that froze over on the paths where we walk ..... when I opened the door to feed the birds I found some ashes from the wood stove in a pail in the porch to scatter on the front step before going any further...I know what you are going through and I pray you don't get the rain that freeze into ice like we did after our blizzard !

    PS I saw further down that you did get the rain and fog mixed with your blizzard which can be really treacherous when there is ice on the ground....Be careful when walking!
