Dr. Terri Rinke, DVM (doctor of Veterinary Medicine ) has been a Veterinarian for 36 years.
My husband is holding Tippi here while Dr Rinke is busy at work trimming her toenails.

This is a more recent picture for the challenge than the one I posted from last year. ...Today Tippi had her Lyme's shot, her weight taken and her claws trimmed. . She won't be due for a rabies and distemper shot until 2021. Tippi, remembered coming here before and she ran out of the room trying to escape:-) Most dogs similar to humans are not crazy about having shots. (Tippi, while she doesn't like the shot is more fearful of having her toenails trimmed..) We got her back inside the office and everything went smoothly from there on. I think she was nervous also because she heard some other dogs barking in the adjoining room behind the door. Terri is very patient and she is efficient in her field of work.

An added note: Dorsey put the doggie coat on Tippi so that she wouldn't jump around when having her toenails clipped ..She worries more about having the coat on and it distracted her from her fear of having her nails clipped:-) We have to sometimes use psychology of mind over matter:-)

Best View in Light Box! Thank you!

    I love the eye contact and how well she's handling the situation with Dorsey's reassurance.She's in good hands here and you got a beautiful capture of her visit to the Vet! A super entry for the challenge, Andrea!!

    Love it! Our two went in for their spring check-ups, this week. They don't notice the shots, fortunately. Tippi is so pretty!

    Thank you for your comments....Tippi didn't make a fuss with her shot this year but I think
    what she mainly was afraid of is getting her toe nails clipped.... with the coat on it changed
    the direction of what she was worried about ...She does not like to wear a dog coat and has
    a phobia about it..but on the other hand it seemed to calm her her nerves so that she didn't
    jump all over the place with the toe nail clipping.

    What a difference between coat and not-coat! Our dogs have had a tendency to wander around feeling lost, when we have to remove a collar to change tags (for instance);
