A Rough-legged hawk who checks in frequently found out he was not welcome today. The barn sparrows were dive bombing him as he sat there trying to decide when to make his escape..

    You got a beautiful image of the hawk .The barn swallows who were dive bombing him were probably protecting their nests...

    Thank you for your comment Andrea! Yes, they've been kept busy lately with protecting their nests and some young fledglings from the magpies, who have been especially annoying to them, and the ravens who cross over this way regularly. I've tried to get a good shot of this but it's difficult to get a good focus on them in the sky.
