"He gives his food, to the young which cry... Psalms 147: 9"

When a father Grosbeak
Feeds his daughter or son
More words does it speak
Than seeds given to young
From these birds of the air.....
Who show LOVE is CARE
In their kingdoms utopia
To express onomatopoeia
© Poetry by me, AJP

I felt blessed to see this today on our feeder of a father Rose-breasted Grosbeak feeding its baby... At this stage it is hard to tell if the youngster is a male or female as they are marked the same at that age...The Dad was standing on the seed bowl and its young one below had been fluttering its wings crying to be fed which gave me a clue to be ready to shoot the picture!

Best View in Light Box! Thank you!!!

A rare and wonderful capture!! Birds are such doting parents and your poem reflects that so beautifully.

Thank you all for your kind words. The song birds inspire me to write poetry just by watching them and how they interact with one another...They are truly a blessing!. I love to see the significance of a scene like this and the birds really do teach us so many lessons of life!
