Grand Mesa is the world's largest flat mountain. It is immense.

It is one of Colorado's 26 "Scenic Byways," and it deserves the title.

There are two ways in (or out). From the north, you exit I-70 about 20 miles east of Grand Junction and turn south. From the south, you turn east off of U.S Hwy. 50 at Delta, then turn north toward Cedaredge.

In this shot, I have turned off east of Grand Junction and am ascending to the top of the "grand table." It is flat up there!

This drive is about 60 miles in length, and it offers tremendous viewing opportunities of the aspens and their fall colors, diverse wildlife, and valley vistas and mountains more than a hundred miles away.

Highly recommended!

As always, thanks for stopping by!
