Chicken poop bingo at Ginny's Little Longhorn Saloon, Austin

Ginny's Little Longhorn Saloon is one of the coziest dive bars in Austin, Texas, full of your typical Austin college kids, your Austin "Keep It Weird" hippies and hipsters, and a generous helpin' of elderly country-music-lovin' Texans sporting plaid button-up shirts and truly legit cowboy hats.

On a regular day, this bar can appear a bit grim and dire, somewhat redolent of those backwater bars where a movie's protagonist has just lost his lover to his best friend's dog.

However, on Sundays, Ginny's and the adjoining parking lot come alive for the weekly presentation of Chicken Shit Bingo; a hard-working chicken is summoned into the bar, popped into a cage full of feed, and is intently watched until it defecates onto a bingo square. The patron with the corresponding ticket number wins cash.
