What city do you live in? What neighborhood?

Phoenix/Tempe, Arizona

Roosevelt Row, Grand Ave, Mill Ave, and surrounding nieghborhoods.

What are some adjectives that describe your neighborhood?

downtown, busy, productive, artsy, beautiful, colorful

How long have you lived there, and what brought you there?

Born & Raised. Deeply rooted in this desert. Est. '88

What is your favorite thing about this place? Your least favorite?

The art, which is everywhere::: every alley, parking lot, corner; light pole, stop sign, street light. Many amazing and talented artists have blessed the City of Phoenix with their beautiful murals, stencils, stickers, etc. some religious/political views, others just plain wonderful. Its a lifestyle for these artists, they constantly amaze me. Credit should be givin for their sacrafices as artists, and the time they put in making this city that much more colorful.

What is a special fact about your city that you have to live there to know?

Z-Trip is from here. lol

What aspect of your city do you secretly love?

secretly? my love is all out in the open, i only wish i were able to keep up with these sticker slappin, stencil & tag throwin, mural painting, god loving, wonderful, talented individuals.

Anything else you'd like to add?

Ive been shooting for a few years now but have always been drawn toward the music and art scene. Ive had the privilage of meeting and interacting with many talented & amazing artists::: deejays, musicians, painters, b.boys & girls::: the life styles all intertwine with one another. when i turned 21 i was able to attend shows where artists would be painting along side the deejays or emcees, and my life was forever changed. i was welcomed with open arms, doing trade work with a few local djs, shows which would take me to phx and i saw a lovely side ive been missing for all these years. Lalo Cota, El Mac, Kofie, Breez, Snyder, Luster Kaboom::: their work was every where, and to me so lovely, i had to capture it. When dealing with street art, stickers, slaps, tags... you never know how long it will actually be there. in the past few years, there have been murals that have been changed, or even bombed, but with my photos i am able to capture the artists' true intent and keep the memories from fading, allowing the art to live on in infamy.
