Heaven in earth

dramatic ... fine view of the hill station

Mizoram is a small state in the North-eastern part of India with Aizawl as its state capital. It is one of the Seven sister states of North-eastern India. It is landlocked by the neighboring states of Tripura, Assam, Manipur and with the neighboring countries of Bangladesh and Myanmar. Mizoram is a place of hills, valleys, lake and rivers with a unique culture of its own. There are around 21 major hill ranges with magnificent undulating lush greenery weaved with rivers flowing across, which is very pleasing to the eyes of any nature lover.

The capital of Mizoram state in India is Aizawl. Aizawl is the largest city of Mizoram with population of 291,822. All important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat are situated in Aizawl. The population consistsof different communities of the special Mizo people.

I had an opportunity to visit Mizoram, as our Institute is working for the Mizo people with the support from the Government of Mizoram. Early morning I used to go to the rooftop of guest house and my camera remains busy for capturing the enchanting beauty of hill stations. With the beautiful sunlight I try to capture shots for JPG Photo essay. I hope my friends will like it and provide their honest comments.
