Photo Essay

What's Left Of Fall

What's left of Fall

What's left of fall

For eyes to see all

Has evidence there

Ere' the tree is bare.

Gold leaves that fell

Holds still its spell..

To increase her yield

O'er land and field.

Tho' a raggedy exterior

The heart is not inferior

when grown by love divine

Hanging neath' the vine.

Wild grape leaf green

Waiting alone to be seen,

Can be shown on the bottom

For what is left of Autumn.

Two lonely companions,

An only wild dandelion

United with a green wasp,

And held it in its clasp!!!

To find whats left of fall

Should have been in spring,

The season missed its call

And did not hear it ring.

The yellow drinking trough

Waters blessings to fill all,

With orange leaves enough

To receive colors still of fall.......

The little brown Swiss

Stood apart from the rest,

To say, "cows do not miss

Where to find what is left!"

Cows resting in the pasture

Were there for us to capture...

As God and dog watched all,

Nature presented its picture

For memories left of fall...

Bird bath reflecting fall

Filling up with rain...

Cast its water o'er all....

What is left to gain,

And leaving to remain!!!

.Poplar trees standing tall

Brings sweet majesty to fall

O'er the fullness it covers,

From depth of top to bottom,

Blue sky and earth tone colors.

Are why we love Autumn.

Moonlit evening softly shone

Quietly thru' the sleeping trees...

Heaven's fingers by love atone

Ordained it gently to appease.

Hosta leaf at this stage

Wore colors to capture

And turned the page

To a new chapter...

Of its ripe old age...

Little Miss Lichen

Got out of her kitchen

To show me where it's at

Wearing a pink rose

On her clean white hat.

She was found in a tree

With the view of it all

Which caused me to see

What is left here of fall....

Tho' it might seem bleak

When fall colors are gone

We must see after the peak

To what is still left beyond...
