Early monsoon touched Vinca

Vinca Photography

Rain drops over Periwinkle (Vinca minor) a summer flower is a genus of flowering plants in the family Apocynaceae, native to Europe, northwest Africa and southwest Asia. In India we have many colors of Vinca mostly used to beautify the gardens. The plant has a medicinal value too.

I love rains and fascinated with earthly flavour. Rainy season is beautiful, one of the best seasons out of the three we feel in India. It's the season where trees get to take a shower, all that matted dust on the leaves gets washed off to reveal their vibrant green color. An enjoyable or pleasurable thing to do is watch the little birds and animals like squirrels, cats, crows, pigeons, parrots occupy the window slab's and branches to protect themselves from rain and some of them meditating on the electric poles in rain.

Taking pictures of different flowers after the rain is my passion. For me morning light is ideal for taking shots of beautiful flowers.

One fine sunshine morning soon after morning rain, I tried clicking pictures of rain over Vinca flowers planted over our rooftop, with my old Nikon D 90 camera and 55-200 mm lens with the help of a tripod. It was so amazing experience; I tried to take shots of various colours of beautiful Vinca flowers touched with small water droplets.

I am sure all my JPG friends will like the pictures of sacred and precious water drops over Vinca. I just love JPGMAG.COM for giving me opportunity to showcase my pictures.
