Hanoi under Siege

Wall 3

Hanoi's historical colonial architecture is under siege. As globalization pushes to all corners of the world, there is an aggressive impatience to tear down the old buildings in hopes of building a better future. Throughout the city, demolition companies stencil their telephone numbers onto buildings they proclaim should be torn down, offering their services for a task they consider predetermined. This graffiti motivated sales call assault turns the tired structures into colorful works of art, which one day soon will all be gone.
