Ice

Wax ice

Ice has a certain meditative quality. I can sit and look at it forever and never get tired of it's seamless complexity, it's multifaceted dimensions or it's interior fire. These images are taken in Endicott Arm of southeast Alaska. They represent the fluidity of ice; how it flows and moves even when it's in its solid form and how it emits an internal blaze in such a cold and unforgiving environment.
