What city do you live in? What neighborhood?

I live in Wiesloch. It's a City with a population of about 26.000 People.
First mentioned in a document by the year 1288.

Wiesloch is about 20 Kilometers away from Heidelberg what means a short trip about 15 to 20 minutes to reach it by car, train or by bus.

What are some adjectives that describe your neighborhood?

With its glorious natural setting, the harmonious ensemble consisting of castle, old town and river set in the midst of hills, Heidelberg is regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in Germany. Every year millions of tourists are drawn to experience Heidelberg's mystique. Heidelberg was included in the preliminary German list for registration as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

How long have you lived there, and what brought you there?

I've never lived there, but been there so many times the past years.
Heidelberg is so charming that you can escape that charm.

What is your favorite thing about this place? Your least favorite?

There are so many things to see. First of all, Heidelberg is a very old city. It also owns the oldest university in Germany, established in 1386.
There are so many old and historic buildings in the city centre. Some famous people lived in Heidelberg - one of them was Mark Twain. Also Elvis Presley was there during his Duty in Germany for the Army.
My favourite spots in Heidelberg are the narrow alleys surrounding the pedestrian zone. Nicely little buildings restaured with love... A must see.

Do you feel that you belong there?

In my heart - Yes I belong there!

What is the most common misconception about where you live?

I think the most common misconception is that most tourist think the city just consists of the castle, the pedestrian zone and some 4 or 5 historical buildings more. There is so much more to see. They just need to leave the tourist routes and keep their eyes open!

What is a special fact about your city that you have to live there to know?

Heidelberg owns the oldest German university.
Many famous people lived here, e.g. Mark Twain.
The "Heidelberg-Man" found in Mauer near Heidelberg with an age of approx. 600,000 years is the earliest evidence of human life in Europe.

What aspect of your city do you secretly love?

All tose little shops and the lovely details you can find.

Anything else you'd like to add?

I recommend everyone of you to visit Heidelberg. I'll promise you will fall in love and come back more than one time!
