Mosin Nagant M-38 Rifle Flash
Joel Shooting his Mosin Nagant M-38 at the outdoor range on rampart range road here in colorado springs. It took a few tries to get this right, but was well worth it.. all i did was mess with the levels some, the blast really is over 3ft. It was pretty difficult to focus in the pitch dark out there so we had to light him up to focus and frame, go dark , do a 4'' shutter, as soon as he fired i turned on a defused flashlight, that's why he's blured a bit- because of the recoil. Joel had a pretty good sized bruise on both shoulders the next day. It was pointed out too me that he's firing from the wrong shoulder, but after shooting 50 rounds out of this earlier in the day, he had to switch shoulders by the time the sun finnaly went down!
Please vote if you enjoyed this! :)

Ok, Could someone give me some pointers here? I'm just curious if it's the subject mattor or if i could have made this shot better. This is the most views i've ever had on a photo. Over 550 views, and no favorites and only a handful of votes. Can anyone tell me why?

Друг Joel,
Is there any difference between the flash of the M44 and the M38? I've only seen the flash of my M44 from behind... -

But please people, i've had to delete a few comments, if you want to discuss this rifle or the flash specifically please do so on the page you found the link on. Otherwise, please keep comments about the photo or photography specifically. And please no profanity!

I didn't think people still had a rifle of that age still working. Amazing, both the picture and the rifle.

Awesome shot, M38 is great for this pic, was wondering why Joel was firing left handed till I read the description, lol. You also have a great knack for capturing the colors fantastically and getting the right lighting Lindsey.
